T-shirt, cropped boyfriend jeans, and Birkenstock oxfords.
I'm only a few days into this wardrobe experiment, but so far it's really easy. I realized that I've been wearing a limited wardrobe for a long time anyway, even though I wasn't really wanting to. For the past 4.5 years, I've either been pregnant, post-partum, or post-post-partum. I haven't been my regular shape or size for a long time, and I didn't have a large wardrobe for any of those other sizes or shapes.
Even when everything in the closet fits, it seems that most people wear their favorites most of the time. Have you ever tried this? Turn all your clothes hangers backwards. After you wear an article of clothing, turn its hanger around the right way. Then you see which clothes you really wear over a certain period of time. The experiment could help you decide which clothes to get rid of, or could just be interesting to try. It might also help you figure out your style - if you're not using any of a certain type of clothing (flowy bohemian shirts & skirts, say), maybe that isn't your style now. So don't buy more, no matter how cute they are. You know you won't really wear them.
I know I'm not very drawn to loose, flowy tops right now since they feel like maternity clothes to me! I think I'll come back around to them after a while, but for now I'll just enjoy them on other people.
