I'm working on changing some habits, with extra inspiration from the book, Better than Before by Gretchen Rubin. The most important change I want to make is to get more sleep. Yes, I started working on this a while ago, but I haven't made it stick. I want to go to sleep at 10:00 and get up at 6:00 so I can have some time to myself before the kids get up. Ideally I will exercise during that time and then have a peaceful breakfast and maybe a shower before the rest of my family is awake. That would be such a great way to start my days.
This is such a tough change for me to make! I love that quiet time after the kids go to bed. I know that I would make better use of my time in the mornings, when I have more energy. At night, I often don't accomplish much. I mostly watch tv, look around online, and feel tired. I'm just wasting time and I'd be much better off sleeping. But in the moment, it's so hard to turn off the tv, close my laptop, or put down my book and go to sleep! I'll keep working on it. I think this habit could lead to a lot of good things, and it's worth the effort to change my bedtime.
